As we begin the annual 16 Days of Activism to End Gender Based Violence, Women’s Learning Partnership invites you to join our free online interactive screenings of two short films on eliminating gender based violence globally. During the screenings, attendees will be encouraged to share thoughts and reactions via chat to engage in a global discussion on gender based violence.

A 40-minute film produced by WLP features activists and scholars from across the globe discussing root causes of gender-based violence, sharing strategies to combat it, and providing inspiring accounts of important milestones already achieved through the international women’s movement.

A 30 minute film that follows a selection of cases handled by WLP's partner organization in Mauritania L'Association des Femmes Chefs de Famille (AFCF) as they fight on behalf of victims while demanding justice and accountability from Mauritanian authorities.
From March 10–21, 2025, government officials, international policy leaders, and civil society activists will gather in New York for the 69th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69). During the session, Member States will assess the challenges affecting the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action and the progress toward gender equality, women's empowerment, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This lecture, co-sponsored by Women Living Under Muslim Laws (WLUML) and Women's Learning Partnership (WLP) in partnership with several other feminist organizations, and co-hosted by McGill University’s Center for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism, is a conversation with renowned feminist Charlotte Bunch on navigating the current era of global backlash against women's rights.
