To celebrate the Nowruz holiday, the Foundation for Iranian Studies (FIS), along with WLP, held the FIS Nowruz Annual Lecture by a Distinguished Scholar of Iranian Studies Series. Dr. Amir A. Afkhami discussed Iran's biomedical history and advances, including the story of its critical breakthroughs in rabies treatment in the 1950s and Iran’s current COVID-19 vaccine controversies and challenges.
This research study illustrates that violence against women and girls (VAWG) has drastically increased in Pakistan during the COVID-19 pandemic. The report analyses both quantitative and qualitative data, including 14 case studies, interviews of 6 key officials, and quantitative data from 25 districts in Pakistan from all 4 provinces and Gilgit-Baltistan.
