I arrived in Beijing in 1995 as part of a small international group of women called HERA, organized by the International Women’s Health Coalition, IWHC. We were all quite experienced in doing advocacy in the UN arena, from Prep Coms to Conferences themselves.

Yet after three decades of high-level climate negotiations, the world remains on a rapid trajectory toward multiple ecological tipping points that threaten the world as we know it.
Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP) has formally endorsed the call for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (FFNPT), a global initiative advocating for a planned, equitable, and just phase-out of coal, oil, and gas.
