Our Story
For more than 25 years, Women’s Learning Partnership has supported women across the Global South to lead change in their communities and influence the decisions that shape their lives. By strengthening women’s leadership, advancing rights, and amplifying local feminist movements, we help build just, inclusive, and democratic societies.
A Global Network for Change
WLP connects women’s rights organizations, activists, educators, and community leaders across multiple regions. Through ongoing collaboration, we share strategies, co-create resources, and address the systemic barriers that impede women’s safety, agency, and participation.
Learning that Sparks Leadership
Our participatory training programs, advocacy initiatives, and capacity-building efforts prepare women to step into leadership roles with confidence, organize collectively, and influence public policy. Our curriculum, developed with our partners and translated into more than 30 languages, has reached hundreds of thousands of people in more than 80 countries.
Sustained Impact at Every Level
Whether advancing legal reforms, strengthening feminist organizations, expanding women’s civic participation, or supporting economic empowerment. WLP’s work helps shift harmful norms and redistribute power.
Celebrating 25 years of Collective Leadership
In 2025, WLP marked 25 years of collaboration, innovation, and impact. From the development of groundbreaking training manuals to successful advocacy campaigns across the globe, our partners have demonstrated the power of grassroots leadership to create lasting change.
