Timjerdine (Morocco) is the President of the Association Démocratique des Femmes du Maroc (ADFM-Rabat section). She is also a member of the Committee on Human Rights and Citizenship within the Ministry of National Education, a member of the National Council for Human Rights (regional commission of Rabat), and the coordinator of the National Network of Women Victims of Violence (Anaruz). Previously, she was a member of the Bureau of the Moroccan Association of Teachers of Philosophy (1993- 1997) and taught philosophy at a secondary school in Rabat. Timjerdine is a long-standing women’s rights activist and an expert on gender-based violence, gender equality, human rights, and leadership. She has a degree in sociology.
