Summary

A documentary film on the lack of citizenship rights in Arab countries, namely in Lebanon and Egypt. Throughout the Arab world, naturalization laws prohibit women from passing on their nationality to their husbands or children. When a family is deprived of citizenship, it is also deprived of all the other rights associated with nationality. The film portrays the story of women whose families suffer the consequences of unjust naturalization laws and the burden this places on them.

Produced in collaboration with WLP's partner in Lebanon, the Collective for Research and Training on Development - Action (CRTD-A).
