Summary

Three out of every four women are abused by their husbands. This documentary film has been produced in cooperation with women who have survived domestic violence in Turkey. It includes interviews about their experiences of physical, psychological, sexual and economic violence as well as sexual abuse of children by the husband. They also talk about their strategies to stop the violence and to survive. The film highlights the inadequacy of current legislation. It also serves a tool for consciousness raising against domestic violence and shows women how to stop the dynamics of this violence. This film can be used for training purposes in institutions.
