Summary

Every year, thousands of people in Bangladesh become victims of a brutal and arbitrary practice known as safe custody -- the "protective" imprisonment of individuals who have committed no crime. The vast majority of victims are women and children. Many of them have been rescued by the police. All of them are helpless. They are innocent, and with the pretext of ensuring their safety, they are locked in jail. This documentary portrays the stories of women and children, usually young girls, who become victims of safe custody, and the ongoing advocacy efforts to address this violation of human rights.
