WLP, in partnership with The Middle East Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, presents a panel discussion with leaders of the women’s movement from Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
A panel of activists discuss women's efforts to change public opinion, laws, and policies in order to build democratic and inclusive societies in the Middle East. This event also launches the book, Iranian Women’s One Million Signatures Campaign for Equality: The Inside Story, written by campaign co-founder Noushin Ahmadi Khorasani.
On September 6th, Women’s Learning Partnership will convene a panel discussion in collaboration with the Dialogue Project at Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies, and launch an international campaign in support of a seven-country regional campaign for Arab women’s right to nationality in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Syria.
