Welcome to WLP’s New Website!

Partnership-Workshop-Leaders

Since our founding in 2000, Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP) has been advancing gender equality around the world. Through workshops, advocacy campaigns, capacity building initiatives, and more, WLP partner organizations are the driving forces behind sustainable change in their societies.

In recent months, we have been hard at work creating a digital space that embodies our dynamic partnership and captures our impact. Now, we are happy to announce the arrival of WLP’s new website. In addition to an updated look that reflects the vibrancy of our global Partnership, we are especially proud of the Learning Center, which hosts WLP’s training manuals, documentary films, oral histories, interviews with women leaders, legal reform research, and more.

These resources in the Learning Center are available in more than 20 languages and cover topics such as human rights, political participation, and violence against women. Users can search our extensive collection of content by language, country, and topic, and download selected resources into a convenient zip file.

The Learning Center database will benefit a variety of WLP’s stakeholders and supporters. Activists can browse our advocacy tools, while scholars can easily find feminist research materials. Workshop facilitators can quickly assemble training curriculum or download facilitation guides to enhance their methods. Those interested in learning about the global women’s movement can access interviews and biographies of some of the most influential human rights leaders of our time.

In addition to hosting the Learning Center, our new website allows visitors to:

  • Explore stories from around the world on the Partnership Blog.  Many of the most pressing issues facing women’s rights activists in the developing world are underreported in mainstream news. WLP’s blog contains updates and analyses from our partners across four continents, providing fresh grassroots perspectives.
  • Learn and reproduce WLP’s unique model for advancing women’s rights. WLP’s leadership and empowerment approach, as captured in its foundational training manual Leading to Choices, has reached tens of thousands of women in more than 50 countries. The new website interweaves evidence and stories demonstrating why this methodology is key to building the capacity of women leaders, and provides the tools needed to replicate it.
  • Get involved and make an impact. WLP supporters can now more easily engage with our Partnership: participate in advocacy campaigns, attend a WLP event, or make a donation.

It is our hope that the new WLP website disseminates the messages and knowledge that our vibrant Partnership has to offer. Happy browsing!

Sincerely WLP
