The Politics of Participation: Women and Transformative Leadership

Women leaders from Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, Pakistan, Mauritania, Nicaragua, and Nigeria will share culture-specific initiatives and practical strategies that they have used to encourage women to participate in making the decisions that affect their lives, families, and communities. WLP President Mahnaz Afkhami and Board Member Zainah Anwar will moderate this conversational-style, interactive dialogue that will involve the audience of NGO activists, academics, journalists, students, and policy makers.
