Upcoming Event: The Politics of Participation: Women and Transformative Leadership

April 3, 2008: Join Women’s Learning Partnership on Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 for a dialogue with six extraordinary women leaders from the WLP Partnership who will come together to exchange their experiences with mobilizing women for political action.

Women leaders from Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, Pakistan, Mauritania, Nicaragua, and Nigeria will share culture-specific initiatives and practical strategies that they have used to encourage women to participate in making the decisions that affect their lives, families, and communities. WLP President Mahnaz Afkhami and Board Member Zainah Anwar will moderate this conversational-style, interactive dialogue that will involve the audience of NGO activists, academics, journalists, students, and policy makers.

Please join us from 5-7 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2008 for this timely event being co-sponsored by the Dialogue Project of the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
