Sessions explored using ICTs as a strategic tool for advocacy, including accessing information on women's rights on the web, planning campaigns, utilizing participatory web tools such as blogging and photo sharing, facilitation and presentation techniques, among others. Discussions included how to creatively apply ICTs to advance a social cause, how NGOs in Jordan can use ICTs effectively in their work, and how organizations with limited resources can benefit from the potential of ICTs. Participants discussed the use of ICT tools as a means of self expression and as a tool for expansion of democratic practices. Additionally, the possibilities of online social networking and ways in which it can be used to connect with others and build support for a cause were explored.
