Over 2464 students from different Lebanese universities and campuses signed the petition during the campaign’s activities between March - May 2006.
In addition, the regional seminars held in five areas in Lebanon during June – July 2006 (Tripoli, Mount Lebanon, Baalbak, Beirut, and Khyam) gathered the support of over 500 signatures from MPs, CSO and NGOs activists, women concerned.

The “Claiming Equal Citizenship” international campaign launched with fanfare on Sep 6, 2006. The President of the Women’s Rights Club, Rania Jaber, opened the event with the announcement that the campaign had collected over 450 signatures. The event included two days of campaign-related activities in which attendees had an opportunity to read over educational materials about nationality rights as well as listen to a panel discussing the legal opportunities for women and their families.
