Lebanon Re-Launches Citizenship Campaign

These groups will continue to press the government to amend the law, because, says Osseiran, by denying women their right to pass on their nationality, not only is the government violating the Constitution, it is also breaking international law. The upcoming campaigns and events include taking part in the Beirut National Marathon, as well as organizing a public hearing at UNESCO on November 25, the International Day to Resist Violence against Women.
