My daughter just turned 7 months. My husband’s nationality differs from my own, and I recently went through the administrative steps to make sure she could have my nationality.
It was fundamental for me to be able to pass down my nationality *as a significant part of my identity* onto my daughter.
I commend the work of the national and regional organizations and extend my full support in this essential campaign.

I come from Bangladesh where we have the same problem. I’ve grown up in many different countries and I now live in the UK and recently found out about this issue as my husband is not a Bangladeshi national. It has been brought to the attention of the Bangladeshi government by womens’ groups in the country but nothing has still been done. I think it is great that a campaign like this exists so that women can collaborate across the globe on shared issues.
