Training Manuals

Leadership

Our signature manual Leading to Choices: A Leadership Training Handbook for Women has been used in interactive leadership training workshops with thousands of participants in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Building on the success of this manual, we developed Leading to Choices: A Multimedia Curriculum for Leadership Learning, which consists of three videos on effective communication, interactive facilitation, and advocacy for change, and has been used in training of trainers for hundreds of NGO leaders and activists.

More recently, Yes I Can: Youth manual Leadership for Teens is the first publication of the Young Women’s Learning Partnership (YWLP) initiative. The manual focuses on the transformative leadership capacities of girls and boys, and helps workshop participants develop collective solutions.

Directory of Women Leaders

This section contains an online Directory of Women Leaders, particularly those from the Global South and those working on Global South issues. Designed to be used as a reference resource, the Directory seeks to increase the visibility of women leaders and help connect individuals, organizations, and networks who focus on women's human rights, democracy and civil society, peace and conflict resolution, information and communication technologies, and international development, among other issues.

Learning Tools

WLP produces culture-specific training curriculum for women in the Global South, particularly Muslim-majority societies. In cooperation with WLP, these training materials are translated, adapted, and tested by women's organizations indigenous to the intended participant group.
