On November 25, 2015, Women's Learning Partnership joins the Center for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL) at Rutgers University, along with over 5,478 organizations and other participants from 187 countries and territories, in the launch of the annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign. The 2015 Campaign theme, From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Make Education Safe for All, highlights the increase of violent attacks against women and girls who claim their right to education, and the continued barriers to women's and girls' education across the globe. Bethesda, MD – Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP) will premiere it’s new documentary on the state of human rights globally, on March 10th at The New School in New York City. The premiere of the documentary titled “Human Rights: The Unfinished Journey” will be presented in partnership with the Gender Studies Program at The New School and co-sponsored by the Global Studies at The New School. The film screening will be followed by a panel of human rights activists and experts who will discuss the deterioration of human rights around the world and suggest strategies for change.

WLP’s events bring together women’s rights activists, scholars, and influential women leaders from around the world to discuss major challenges facing women and girls in the Global South. They provide a platform for discussion and sharing of grassroots, national, and regional strategies on topics such as women’s political participation, culture and religion, movement building, and peace and conflict resolution.
